2nd Annual

CHRISTMAS

 Party and Dinner

We will be holding our "special" Christmas event on Wed., December 12th at 6:30 p.m. at La Hacienda Recreation Centre in the Carmen Miranda Room.   Dinner, at just $5.00/person for our members, will once again be a buffet style selection from Chick-fil-A.   We ask you to please (click) reply to us asap advising the number attending so we can get an accurate account of how much food will be required. (Those members with dietary restrictions are encouraged to bring their own meals.)

Karen Morrison, our Event Co-ordinator has suggested that we forego purchasing desserts from Chick-fil-A and instead have a baked goods table. We are asking for volunteers who like to bake and share their creations, to (click
) send us an email advising us that you will participate and to let us know what goodies you will be bringing.

As this is the season for sharing, once again we will be supporting the Wildwood Food Bank with donations of non-perishable items (please be certain that the best before date has not expired). Also, we have asked the United States Marine Corp. to provide us with collection boxes for their Toys for Tots program. Last year was very successful, thanks to your generosity, and we ask once again for a great response to these programs.

Entertainment will be provided by our favourite Villages Musician, Just Mike, as he gets us up dancing and enjoying the Christmas spirit until a couple of very special guests, from the far northern reaches of Canada arrives (ho ho ho). Please also feel free to wear festive apparel so our special guests can feel at home !!!

The registration desk will open at 5:30 p.m. collecting $5.00/person for our 2013 Annual Dues from those who were not here in November. Please remember to wear your name badges and to bring your own beverages. Tea and Tim Horton's coffee will be available.

** We had a very informative meeting, on November 14th, with representatives of The Villages Hospital speaking to us and there will be a synopsis of that meeting, and the comments of Mr. Harvey Rothrock, on this website shortly. We strongly suggest you review and follow all suggestions pertaining to your Travel Health Insurance.
